This one was quite the experience!

As usual with these “hidden camera” event type of videos, the turnaround time was pretty crazy for this one. It goes with the territory, because clients like to post the final videos as soon as possible while the content is still relevant. I think I only had about a day and a half to put the first draft together, which doesn’t sound too bad until you consider the many hours of footage shot, and the challenges in building a somewhat cohesive “song.” I found that just piecing together the best parts didn’t really flow very well, so there was a lot of trial and error in getting this piece to be enjoyable to watch. While our singer is clearly singing different bits to different people, I felt like it should still flow like a song, otherwise the melodies feel to repetitive or random. Luckily, the singer/improv artist was really good, and was able to give me a lot of funny options to work with. Check it out!
